What to Expect When You Visit

“…the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.” John 4:23
When you visit our worship service, you will experience-
God-centered exaltation!
We believe that worship is about honoring God and glorifying Him. While we certainly believe that true worship will inevitably edify and encourage the participants, that is secondary to the satisfaction of the Lord.
Pure praise with our voices!
We love to sing praises to God and sing God’s word to each other. In an effort to “sing and admonish one another in songs, hymns, and spiritual songs” we regularly sing together. We use a hymnal or the screen in the front of the auditorium and encourage our church family to and sing from the heart. Since we all sing together, no one person stands out, draws attention to themselves, or has to be trained musically to take part. It does not matter what your vocal chords sound like. Rather, we encourage you to sing with your heart as you think about the greatness and glory of God.
Weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper!
We believe that, just as the first-century church did under apostolic guidance, believers today are to eat of the Savior’s body and drink of His blood in memory of His sacrifice for our sins and for our spiritual nourishment.  We partake of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of each week. Bible passages, such as Matthew 26:26-29, I Corinthians 10:14-17, 11:23-30, and John 6:53-58, underscore the importance of this sacred feast in the lives of God’s people. And, Acts 20:7 clearly indicates when the early disciples partook of it.
Bible-based preaching in all its power and purity!
We believe that the man of God’s solemn charge is to “reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” (II Timothy 4:2) The sermons and lessons you hear when you visit will certainly inspire and encourage you, but they will also challenge you to repent of sin, examine your life against the scriptural standard, and live to the glory of God by walking daily in obedience to His will. When you are with us, you will hear the whole counsel of God declared, not just the parts that everyone wants to hear.
The joyful giving of the people of God!
You will witness members of the church giving their offerings out of thankful and gracious hearts. We each give in accordance with our individual prosperity and not out of compulsion (I Corinthians 16:2). As our visitor, you will not be asked or expected to give; it is completely up to you whether or not you leave an offering. The work of the local church is supported by the members of the local church (II Corinthians 9:6-15).
